Paula #2 – Birth Order
May 7, 2009I believe that birth order affects behavior. The oldest, in general, have more responsability than the other, because they can suffer a tougher penalty depending on what they do, in order to show the youngest moral compass. Decisions made by the youngest, that maybe would be disapproved by the parents, sometimes doesn’t occur because the oldest had already done this type of action, and the parents can deal easily with the situation, that is not anymore a novelty for them. They have passed through this before.
I’m the oldest in my family, I have a youngest sister. Although we have a small difference of age, this little difference affects the construction of personality. I’m more concerned with things related to safety than her, and she doesn’t worry much about the consequences of her actions.
That’s why I believe that birth order affects the construction of personality.
Birth order affects (the formation of one’s personality.) The oldest, in general, (has) more (responsibility) than (their younger brothers), because they can suffer a tougher penalty depending on what they do, (when showing) the youngest moral compass. Decisions made by the youngest, (which) maybe would be disapproved by the parents, sometimes doesn’t occur because the oldest had already (taken) this type of action, and the parents (are able to)deal with the situation (more appropriately), (since it) is not a novelty (to) them (anymore, for they) have (gone) through this (kind of experience) before. (For insntance,) I’m the oldest in my family and have a youngest sister. Although we have a small difference in age, this little difference (has affected or has been affecting) the (building) of (our) personality. I’m more concerned with things (things is a very vague word. Try to be more specific in your writings) related to safety than (she is), and she doesn’t worry much about the consequences of her actions (Hummm, Paula, you will need to illustrate all these ideas with real life examples to SHOW the differences between Ana and you.) Therefore, birth order does affect the (building of one’s) personality.
