Karla #1 – Introduction
May 5, 2009I dreamed to be a dancer since I was a child, when I started my first steps I imagined me dancing around the world. My parents expected that I would be a lower but I tried so hard to show them what I really wanted to do.
(Karla, it is a bit too abrupt for you to start your paper without really introducing yourself. Remember that there are quite a few members in the class that do not know you. I think it would be a great idea for you to introduce yourself first and then add this kind of information.)
I dreamed to be a dancer since I was a child. (What encouraged you to follow these footsteps?) When I (took) my first steps, I imagined (myself) dancing around the world (How could have thought that when you were barely one year old?) . My parents expected that I become a lower (lawyer?), but I tried hard to show them what I really wanted to do (Why did they want you to become a lawyer? And how hard did you try to convince them? What did you do exactly?)
I am Karla Sepulveda, I am married and I have two sons.I used to be a professional dance but unfortunately I don´t dance anymore. When I was five, I dreamed to be a dancer.Nobody believed me, everyone thought there would be a simple child´s wish. My parents expected that I would be a lawyer because I always talked a lot, enjoyed read, could easily control any situation at school as a lider, that´s why my parents believed that I had to be a lawyer. At any rate,I wanted to dance around the world. Aa a real dream when I was 18 I stick with my desire. Also, I took an audition to American Ballet, by the way it was the best opportunitiny to become a professional dancer. However I didn´t have enough money to start a new life in other country, I couldn´t miss out on that job. I would not to give it up even it means to stay far away from my family. I was jubillant with this chance. On the contrary,my parents became sad, shocked, affraid, they felt as they were loosing me.As the time passed they noticed that I did my best in my career and they didn´t worried about my work anymore, they really trust me!

Nobody believed me. Everyone thought (that was) a simple child´s wish. My parents expected (me to be) a lawyer because I always talked a lot, enjoyed read(ing), 9and was able to)control any situation at school as a (leader quite easily). (At least,) that´s why my parents believed that I had to be a lawyer.
At any rate,I wanted to dance around the world. As a real dream, I stuck with my desire. Also, I took an audition to (the) American Ballet, (which was) the best opportunitiny to become a professional dancer. However(,) I didn´t have enough money to start a new life in (an)other country. (But on the other hand,) I couldn´t miss out on that job (opportunity). I would not to give it up even it mean(t) to stay far away from my family. I was jubillant with this chance. My parents became sad, shocked and afraid, (though). They felt as they were losing me. As the time passed(,) they noticed that I did my best in my career and they didn´t worried about my work anymore. They really trust me. (How did you gain this trust?)
