Grace — Introduction

October 16, 2007

I am Grace, student in Alumni since 2004. I was born in São Paulo but I have been living in Aruja for more than 15 years. Despite I work in São Paulo, I like so much to live there. Aruja is very calm place and friendly too.

My hobby is to travel, mainly to the beach, I love to be with my feet in the sand, looking the sea, in the sunny day.

I like to read too, but I dont have enough time to do it… Only books for my job.

  1. Hi Grace,

I have thought about leaving São Paulo as well, not to a place as far as Aruja, but somewhere closer such as Granja Viana, or Chacara Flora, especially because of my dogs. You know how much I love animals, and living in a big city in São Paulo, usually in apartment buildings, makes it virtually impossible to lead a healthy lifestyle both for me and my pets.

For these reasons, I have also gotten a bit tired of living in a big city and would love to have more contact with nature. I guess that now that I am approaching my 40’s, I want to start working less and start improving my quality of life. Do you think that I am wrong in thinking so? How do you handle traffic coming and going from São Paulo? What about friends? Do they drive all the way to your place to visit you? I have the sensation that if I end up moving to a far away place, my friends will stop visiting me and I will live a very secluded life all on my own. Do any of these fears have any grounds, or am I just flipping?

  2. Hi Rick,

I love to live in Aruja and I think the quality of life of living in small city is much better.

I suffer a lot with traffic coming and going from SP, it is realy tough, but I still prefer to live there. I dont have problems with my friends, first I do have friends in Aruja, second because I work in SP, I used to met them in SP, but

  3. Hi Grace,

I would love it if you continued telling me a bit more about the questions I have asked you in my last response :)

Hope to hear from you soon.
